fiona apple

I preordered the Fiona Apple DualDisc from the Sony online store and I got it on Saturday. Three days before it even comes out in stores! awesome. And it came with three postcards, which I thought was kind of random, but hey.

I haven't watched the DVD side yet. This is the first DualDisc I've had and I'm not sure I like both sides of the CD having information on them.

Fiona has some fine lyrics on this album. I believe my favorite song, lyrically, is "Red Red Red":

I don't understand about complementary colors and what they say.
Side by side, they both get bright;
together, they both get gray.
But he's been pretty much yellow and I've been kind of blue
but all I can see is red now.

I don't understand about diamonds and why men buy them.
What's so impressive about a diamond except the mining?
But it's dangerous work trying to get to you, too.
and I think, if I didn't have to kill myself doing it,
maybe I wouldn't think so much of you.

do you have a tracklist? i would like to download some of the songs but my limewire is pretty bad at finding things just by the artist's name

I think someone might've hacked it because I just tried going there and it redirected me to some online arcade thing that my computer didn't like, but try going there later.

You can also download the complete leaked version at various places online. It has completely different production from the released version.

dual discs are so confusing. hard to tell which side goes up when youre driving down the highway trying to merge. i have a couple but havent watched the dvd side yet. too lazy. john wrote an article about how much they suck. i dont own any of his yet.
is fiona still on about how much life sucks and the world is a big joke?

No, she hasn't really been like that since she was 18. :P She's generally better spirited now. At least she thinks she is. We'll see how long that lasts now that she's back in public.

I haven't watched/listened to the DVD side of mine either. It has "enhanced stereo" (which I don't care about) and some live stuff and new videos. I need to install a program that'll make my computer read DVDs.
